Over the past five years, the number of companies offering flexible workplace options has grown by 40%, although only 7% of companies in the U.S. make remote work available to most employees, according to Global Workplace Analytics.

As technology continues to make distance a non-factor in all kinds of communication and collaboration, more companies are likely to adopt flexible workplace structures to take advantage of the many benefits this model delivers — including overall cost savings (as much as $11,000 per employee on average).
