Digital technologies are changing how we work as much as when we work. For many of us, the idea of the strict 9-to-5 workday is dead. Yet many companies and managers continue to operate under this outdated business model that requires employees to be on-site from morning to evening, five days a week. This corporate tradition, now more than 80 years old, is no longer relevant to the way we live, work and communicate. Complicating this even more is the fact that, today, there are three or four generations working together, each with its own style, attitude and expectation about how work gets done.
